Expectations

  • Given the nature of the VHS classes, a high level of maturity is expected of the students enrolled in this program.
  • Students must be able to work independently on their own course without disrupting other students.
  • Students must be able to think on their own and take the initiative when a problem arises.
  • Students are expected to do their best in the course they are enrolled.
  • Students should make a copy of the Weekly Checklist and note the date they submit each assignment.  This is the only way I have of helping you track an assignment if there is a problem.
  • Class Policies

  • Students will enter the classroom in a quiet and organized manner.
  • Students will be in their seats and  promptly begin work on their class when the bell rings. Students who are not in their assigned seat when the bell rings will be considered late. An infraction will be given to a student after they have received one warning.
  • Students will come to class with the required materials. Students will not be permitted to return to their lockers for class materials. An infraction will be given to a student who continuously comes to class unprepared.Students will respect themselves and others.
  • Students will use appropriate language and behavior at all times.
  • Students will be courteous and quiet during class.Students will quietly get my attention if they have a question.
  • Students will not chew gum, eat, or drink in the classroom.
  • Student Handbook policies will be strictly enforced.
