The summer reading requirement for Mr. Schiller’s Honors American Government class is The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States, by Floyd G. Cullop.
The ISBN# is 978-0-451-53130-8. You can find this inexpensive book at Barnes and Noble stores or on www.amazon.com. This book will be used throughout the year in instruction and assessment and as a valuable resource for you.

This book is in IX Parts. Read the entire book and develop an in-depth essay question for each part, Part I through Part VII. These questions should be typed neatly and handed in the first day of class. Please make sure you identify the part from where you created the question. For instance, instead of numbering the questions: 1, 2, 3, etc., number them Part I, Part II, Part III, etc.

Keep in mind that the questions you develop should promote critical thinking skills like, comparing and contrasting, cause and effect, persuasion, and opinion based, just to name a few types. These questions will be used in class to help facilitate interesting and thought provoking class discussions.
