Fact Club
FACT club means Future Alumni Club Today/Tomorrow. Today, our students are involved in the Becahi community.
If students learn the importance of helping
their school community today, we hope, when they become adults they will
want to help their alma mater tomorrow.
The Future Alumni Club is a service organization. The members of our
club service the Bethlehem Catholic community when functions are held
within the school for various groups, such as elementary students, alumni
or parents. The difference between FACT and KEY Club is the KC services
the local Bethlehem community and FC services the Becahi school community.
There is a $5.00 membership fee to join FACT. These funds are used to
purchase gifts for the grade school students who visit Becahi during the
school year, and the annual First Grade
Christmas Party. We also use funds to host receptions for Alumni guests for
the Alumni Wall of Fame Day and our Distinguished Alumni
Award presentation.
This club teaches students that service to their school is important and
rewarding. It is a great feeling to know that they can make a difference.
It is also impressive on a college application being an
active member of a Future Alumni Club...the key word is active. Taking part
and doing your share.
Someone who is friendly and outgoing is the type of student who should
join this club. A student who has a desire to help others. Committed and
dedicated are two words that can best describe a "true" member.
As a member of this club you are expected to attend 2 meetings each
month,10-15 min. immediately after school. Volunteer to help with
activities mostly during the day, some evenings and weekends.
The responsibilities of a FACT club member are as follows:
- Student guides for Elementary School Programs
- Help with First Grade Christmas Party
- Assist Alumni/Dev. Office with mailings to graduates
- Keep contact with recent graduates who are in college
- Help with college Alumni Day and other Alumni Events
- Bring baked goods for special events (when needed)
- Help prepare congratulatory graduation scrolls for seniors
